{"id":2054,"date":"2014-08-13T11:35:57","date_gmt":"2014-08-13T15:35:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/blog\/?p=2054"},"modified":"2023-10-13T16:39:31","modified_gmt":"2023-10-13T20:39:31","slug":"corporate-culture-shift-worldlines-people-are-in","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/blog\/corporate-culture-shift-worldlines-people-are-in\/","title":{"rendered":"Corporate Culture shift &#8211; Worldline&#8217;s People are &#8220;In!&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eX8rzKC5Jkw\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Just under two months ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fibernetics.ca\/\"><strong>Fibernetics<\/strong><\/a>, the parent company of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/\"><strong>Worldline<\/strong><\/a> held the\u00a0&#8220;I&#8217;m in!&#8221; corporate culture event. Company\u00a0president, <a href=\"https:\/\/ca.linkedin.com\/in\/johnstix\"><strong>John Stix<\/strong><\/a> initiated the event and its associated\u00a0company changes because, to him,\u00a0the culture at Fibernetics was\u00a0&#8220;pretty good&#8221;, but that wasn&#8217;t good enough. He\u00a0wants Fibernetics to be GREAT! To get us there the staff&#8217;s\u00a0collective working culture needed an energy injection as well as having a clearly defined and easy to understand company purpose. Here&#8217;s what John, and the management team came up with:<\/p>\n<p><strong>We strive to deliver happiness and connections everyday by being awesome.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They\u00a0also defined Fibernetics&#8217;\u00a0core values:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Innovation \u2013 disrupting and challenging the status quo while having an entrepreneurial spirit by taking risks and dreaming big.<\/li>\n<li>Accountability \u2013 taking responsibility for our own actions while understanding the impact on the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Just do it and find the solution \u2013 taking initiative with a game plan for solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Trust \u2013 building trust through transparency and open, honest communications.<\/li>\n<li>Teamwork \u2013 working well with others while respecting values and differences.<\/li>\n<li>Happiness \u2013 honouring satisfaction and well-being \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Simple, straightforward, easy to understand. The resultant change? There is a palpable bump\u00a0in the\u00a0spirit around the office. Happiness is up. Engagement is up, and not coincidentally, so are sales for\u00a0Worldline, and\u00a0for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newt.ca\/\"><strong>NEWT<\/strong><\/a>, the business services division, as well.<\/p>\n<p>John has taken on the ongoing role of leading the &#8220;I&#8217;m in!&#8221; initiative because improving culture is not a one-day event, it&#8217;s an everyday process. His\u00a0end goal is simple: For Worldline, and other Fibernetics telecom products and services, to set the new standard for telecom\u00a0customer service and satisfaction\u00a0in the country.<\/p>\n<p>He\u00a0is also taking his vision for &#8220;I&#8217;m in!&#8221; beyond Fibernetics.
