Subscribers will avoid double-billing when they cancel their service and move to a different service provider.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>For Canadian consumers, this is great news.<\/p>\n<div class=\"text combinedtext parbase section\" style=\"color: #000000;\">\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit;\">One of the biggest complaints we get from people\u00a0who are looking to switch to Worldline was\u00a0the dreaded 30-day wait period for cancelling a service with their current provider. Not only was it\u00a0annoying, it added\u00a0to the already too complex\u00a0process of changing ISPs\u00a0 &#8211; plus it appeared to be\u00a0just a cash grab.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: inherit;\">The CRTC, after listening to the Canadian public last September,\u00a0agreed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"color: #373737;\">We here at Worldline are happy about the change\u00a0&#8211; and for a couple of reasons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #373737;\">First, it will make switching to us far easier, which will allow\u00a0far more Canadians to take advantage of the superior products and the service we can provide, while saving them hundreds of dollars a year along the way. Secondly,\u00a0a customer&#8217;s old\u00a0ISP will no longer have that 30-day\u00a0window\u00a0to try to convince\u00a0customers out of switching.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #373737;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/services\/high-speed-internet\/dsl\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-773 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/wl_save_internet-150x300.png\" alt=\"DSL\" width=\"150\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/wl_save_internet-150x300.png 150w, https:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/wl_save_internet.png 252w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Big Telco companies\u00a0have whole floors of people in their corporate\u00a0towers dedicated to \u201cWin Back\u201d strategies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #373737;\">You\u2019ve most likely experienced their tactics like the\u00a0price matching or special promo\u00a0right?<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #373737;\">It turns out that those discounts\u00a0are usually short-term so Canadians\u00a0ended up spending just as much or more overall as they\u00a0would have anyway. Or, the promo pricing only counts if another service is bundled in with the price.\u00a0These &#8220;Win Backs&#8221; are designed to\u00a0make it appear like there is some\u00a0money to be saved, but there usually isn&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #373737;\">Regardless, their tactics\u00a0work. We&#8217;ve lost a significant number of newly signed up\u00a0customers to their old ISP because they were talked out of it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #373737;\">Not any longer. As of today, the 30-day advance notice is gone for good.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #373737;\">Which is very good.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #373737;\">All that said, now the same rule applies to Worldline\u00a0as well. Our customers can drop us at anytime, but we believe\u00a0that we\u00a0will gain far more customers than we will lose. Our dedication to customer service combined with fair pricing makes us a far better option for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/services\/high-speed-internet\/\"><strong>Unlimited High Speed Internet<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/services\/digital-home-phone\/\"><strong>Digital Home Phone<\/strong><\/a> than any of the Big Telcos.
