\"vmail\"Twenty six years ago last month, Professor Tim Berners-Lee\u2019s issued a technical paper at a Swiss physics lab called\u00a0Information Management: A Proposal.<\/em>\u00a0The result of that paper presented to CERN was the World Wide Web \u2013 a system for publishing information over something called the\u00a0“Internet.” It finally debuted on August 6, 1991 when the World Wide Web was made a publicly available service. Since then pretty much everything in our daily lives has changed, from the way we gather information, the way we bank, are entertained and perhaps most of all, the way we interact.<\/p>\n

The industry that was impacted the\u00a0most is the one that brings the Internet to each of us, and that is telecommunications. From copper landlines to wireless\u00a0to satellites,\u00a0telecom is now responsible for running the world. But what about old school telco\u00a0like\u00a0your home phone? The thing that hasn’t changed much in over a century?<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Home Phone Goes Digital<\/h2>\n

Well, it’s not your grandmother’s home phone anymore.\u00a0Worldline’s home phone<\/strong><\/a> for example includes a\u00a0bunch of\u00a0features that the original\u00a0generation couldn’t conceive of – and unlike any of the original features from Ma Bell\u00a0–\u00a0all of ours are free. Things like:<\/p>\n
