We are working hard to make Worldline the \u201cgo to\u201d provider for Canadians who are looking for quality service at a sensible price, and we are well on our way.<\/p>\n<p>To get all the way there, we also have to be the \u201cgo to\u201d company for talent. The best people make the best companies, and as we grow, everyone we add has to be as good as the spectacular crew we already have on board.<\/p>\n<p>But there\u2019s another piece to the puzzle. To attract the best talent, not only do we have to be rocking as a company, which we are, we also have to have a terrific\u00a0corporate\u00a0culture.<\/p>\n<p>Which we do.<\/p>\n<p>Have you ever worked at a place where everyone is looking out for themselves? Where there is no teamwork? Where it\u2019s only about the paycheck and \u201cwhat\u2019s mine?\u201d Ya, we all have, and those places suck. It feels like drudgery dragging yourself to the office.\u00a0Then there are the places ruled by politics, which I would suggest are even worse.<\/p>\n<p>Not at Worldline.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, look at these programs that all Worldline employees have access to. You could call them perks I guess, but mostly they are simply common sense\u00a0benefits\u00a0that don\u2019t cost an arm or a leg, and makes Worldline a better place to work. (You should try some of them at your office too)<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_636\" style=\"width: 220px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/photo.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-636\" class=\" wp-image-636\" alt=\"Amanda and Abby\" src=\"http:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/photo-300x300.jpg\" width=\"210\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/photo-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/photo-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/photo-624x624.jpg 624w, https:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/photo.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 210px) 100vw, 210px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-636\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Amanda and Abby<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Dog friendly environment<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0The greatest stress burners there are run around on four legs.\u00a0Particularly the head of HR\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FENCareers\">Amanda Little<\/a>\u2018s dog Abby, who also works as a service dog for St. John\u2019s Ambulance at local retirement homes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yoga classes<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Every Thursday at noon, the meeting room just off the main lobby is transformed into a sunny Yoga studio, with one of our wellness instructors, Gloria, leading the way.<\/p>\n<p>Wait. <strong>Wellness\u00a0Instructors<\/strong>? You don\u2019t have wellness instructors? We have two, the\u00a0aforementioned\u00a0Gloria and her partner Val come in every week and do physical evaluations for any employee who wants one, and works with them to create plans for both fitness and diet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fitness bootcamp<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; Co-workers form four man\/woman teams and compete against each other for bi-weekly fitness bootcamps with points awarded for such activities as\u00a0aerobics, weight training, cubicle fitness\u00a0exercises\u00a0(try lifting your butt 3\u2033 off your chair and holding that position for 30 seconds. I dare you!) and of course,\u00a0yoga, (a big point-getter by the way). It gets pretty hard-core but it\u2019s all under the supervision of our\u00a0certified trainers.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Gym.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-638\" alt=\"Gym\" src=\"http:\/\/www.worldline.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Gym.png\" width=\"279\" height=\"189\" \/><\/a>In House Gym<\/strong> &#8211; Okay, not every company can have one of these, but our in-house\u00a0certified trainers hold\u00a0scheduled\u00a0workout sessions with whoever wants one. The gym is\u00a0available\u00a0for use 24\/7, and employees can fit their workout into their daily schedule when possible.<\/p>\n<p>And coming soon: <strong>The\u00a0Quiet room<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0Sleeping during the workday? You bet. We\u2019re introducing a quiet room in the near future. A small office is being outfitted with a sofa, a blinky and an alarm clock for powernaps to re-energize and re-invigorate workers who might be suffering from the mid-afternoon nods.<\/p>\n<p>All of these are nice, but they are not what makes Worldline one of the best places to work in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>But they sure do help.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Worldline is an\u00a0ambitious\u00a0company.
