TriGator For Kids: A follow-up

Trigator_Banner

This year we sponsored a local triathlon for kids called TriGator For Kids. Held in Elmira, Ontario, every June it attracts hundreds of area children to participate in a massive swim-bike-run race.

This year’s event was bigger than ever, and here’s the wrap-up email from race director Paul Helsby:

It’s hard to believe its been three weeks since TriGator.  I usually try to get a wrap up email out earlier so sorry for the delay. We appreciate all the great emails from those involved in the event. They inspire the organizing committee to devote the time needed to organize this event.

Thanks for the amazing sponsor support we received from the many great companies in our region, including our presenting sponsor Manulife and corporate sponsors Canadian Tire and Fibernetics.  They, along with many other great companies in our region are the backbone to our event. Please take a minute to look at all our sponsors on our website. If you want to become a sponsor for next year’s race, please send me an email.

A special thanks goes out to the over 220 volunteers who took time out of their schedules to make sure the event went smoothly. So many parents comment on how wonderful and supportive they all were. As our event grows, the need for volunteers is a critical part of our success.

Kids helping Kids

We had a record fundraising campaign this year and we would like to thank all participants and parents for their efforts. Once the final numbers are tabulated, the top fundraisers will be contacted to pick up your thank you gift.

Lastly I’d like to thank the organizing committee for once again putting a great event together. Over the last five years, we have created a wonderful annual event that many look forward to.  We are very proud of what we have done and are enthusiastic for next year (after a little break!!!)

Have a great and safe summer.
