We’ve been writing about it all year – how cool it is that Canadians have been “cutting the cable” faster than ever before.
Okay, about that… you can stop now. At least some of you that is.
Due to services like NETFLIX, and Apple TV, increasingly Canadians have been dropping their TV providers like a bad habit, going strictly online for their video entertainment.
For ISP’s like Worldline, it’s been an awesome development because we, unlike The Big Three, don’t gouge our customers with some arbitrary data cap. For cable cutters, having unlimited Internet is essential because the overage charges can add up so fast, they can equal, or in some cases, surpass what they were paying for their TV service in the first place.
As a result we’ve been adding customers like crazy. The thing is, until October 31st, we were only providing Internet access via DSL, (the wires to your house used to carry telephone service). Now we’ve added cable to our services, meaning folks have a choice when it comes to how they want their Internet provided by us.
Our first cable roll-out is in most of Ontario, and since not everyone has DSL service anymore, we’ve dramatically increased how many people can get Worldline and start saving hundreds of dollars a year.
Great for us – great for them, (and it’s going to get great for a whole bunch more people shortly as we plan to roll out our cable service in even more places. Stay tuned).
The bottom line is, yes, please, continue to “cut the cable” – but only in the symbolic sense of dumping your TV service (or portions of it).
And when you do, you can switch to us for our Unlimited Internet over both DSL and Cable and start saving tons of money as well.
It’s your choice.
Worldline Unlimited DSL Internet starts from $34.95/month
Worldline Unlimited Cable Internet starts from $44.95/month
There are still a large number of cable TV subscriber as it has many features that cable TV does not have.
