KidsAbility Drops by Worldline

KidsAbility

Heather Curran, Senior Development Manager for KidsAbility dropped by the Worldline offices to present a certificate of appreciation for our sponsorship of the Super Hero KidsAbility Run held this past father’s day.

Accepting the award was Brett Young, Worldline’s marketing intern, and the project manager for our participation. Brett did a great job planning and organizing the activities in the Family Fun Zone, plus a contest to give away free Worldline Unlimited Internet and Home Phone Bundles. He also organized the crew of company volunteers who staffed everything.

Pretty impressive for a 22-year-old kid. Kudos to him, but especially to KidsAbility who do such an amazing job in the local community. We all can’t wait until next year!

KidsAbility Photo Gallery – A Great Day for a Great Cause

Hundreds showed up for the KidsAbility Super Hero Run on Sunday to raise funds for the organization that empowers children and youth with a wide range of complex special needs to realize their full potential. Worldline was proud to be a sponsor of the event and our crew of volunteers manned the Family Fun Zone.

Superheroes Unite to Support the KidsAbility Foundation

Batman, Spiderman, Superman and company all cleared their crime-fighting schedules to attend and support the second annual KidsAbility Superhero Run this past Sunday, June 21st.

Worldline, alongside many superheroes, was present for this extremely special occasion. The KidsAbility event occurred at Exhibition Park in Guelph and participants completed either a 5K run or a 1K run/walk to show their support for this great cause.

Worldline employees had an exceptional experience at an event which was filled with laughter and sunshine. Worldline setup various carnival games which children could play, including the Big Kahuna Slide, an activity that looked so fun it was tempting to all the parents present as well.

KidsAbility is an organization which empowers youth with various special needs to attain their full potential. KidsAbility has been able to help and support over 5,800 youth every year. Worldline was proud to sponsor the KidsAbility Superhero Run and is honoured to be affiliated with such an incredible organization. This year’s event was a great success, as KidsAbility was able to raise over $60,000 to support their cause and foundation.

Backpacks for Kids gets a Boost from La Bandera

DSC_7382La Bandera literally means the flag in Spanish, but it has a whole other delicious meaning in the Dominican Republic. Lunch is the most important and the largest meal of the day in the DR, and that’s where La Bandera also known by its street name, El plato del dia (dish of the day) comes in. It is a plate of rice, beans, meat, and a salad, that is eaten every day.

The Fibernetics Call Centre, or the FCC as we call it, is based in the DR and our team of Super Customer Service agents on that Island work hard every day to keep our customers, and customers to be, happy. They also run and support our in-house charity, “Backpacks for Kids” where we provide school supplies for disadvantaged Dominican children allowing them to get the education they so desperately want.

Since its inception just a few years ago, BPFK has managed to send  hundreds of children to school who otherwise wouldn’t have gone. Every year, to support the charity we hold a series of fundraisers out of the FIbernetics headquarters in Cambridge to raise funds. This week we had a company-wide lunch, and for $5.00 we served our Canadianized version of La Bandera with all the money raised going to BPFK.

We are soon going to make this charity open to public donations, as we’ve seen the impact it is having on our neighbours to the south, and also to our friends and co-workers at the FCC.

Congratulations to everyone who pitched in and helped make it the most successful fundraising lunch in our history. Volunteers: Fiona, Smikie, Samhi, Gavin, Dawn, Greta and Amber!

Worldline Level 3 Superhero Award winner: Jandry Poline

SHL3Our Level 3 Support team are a group of dedicated tech support specialists working out of our Cambridge, Ontario head office. They work daily with our customer support crew working at the Fibernetics Call Centre with a common goal, to provide Worldline customers the best care and service in the industry. Period.

Last year they initiated a new program called the Level 3 Superhero Award to recognize outstanding contributions from support staff and now it’s time to announce the latest winner.

From the Level 3 Team:

Here at Worldline, we are aware that we are consistently improving our service and customer interaction. If we were not improving, we wouldn’t be trying to improve your experience with us. One of the things we look at is how hard our customer service representatives are working to make any call you make to us a positive experience.

We are very proud of how far our customer service has come and are VERY excited with the growth and direction they are going in (Especially with how we are having record breaking months from our sales team). Today, we would like to recognize one of our wonderful colleagues.

We would like to introduce you all to Jandry Poline. Jandry works in our contact center and helps our customers and others around him with superior technical support.

Worldline Unlimited InternetJandry has been with us for many years where he has grown to become a key member of our teams. It is not often that we see escalations from Jandry as he takes each case and works on the customers issue many times going above and beyond to make sure the customers issue is resolved. He has taken the initiative to help through around him when they are in need of help. He has never declined the option to learn more about what he can do for the customer and has always accepted the challenges that come with it. As he spends more time with us, we have noticed his attention to detail has gotten even better as he has been able to resolve many escalations to him the right way and quickly.

He always has a positive attitude and makes sure that customers she is helping are constantly being updated on what is happening with the issue they have reported to us.

Jandry is someone who not only says our Company mantra, but he also walks the walk and means it when he says “I’m in”
